ATiT, project coordinator

Audiovisual Technologies, Informatics and Telecommunications (ATiT) is an audio-visual and information technologies company in Belgium, specialising in the integration of Information and Communications Technologies in the Training, Education and Cultural sectors. This includes training programmes whereby potential users of technology for pedagogical purposes have successfully made the transition to a technology supported environment. ATiT has initiated and led several national and cross border programmes for in-service teacher training and have provided workshops and support services to in-service teacher training agencies in Ireland, Belgium, Poland and Italy. ATiT provides audio-visual production, project management, training and consultancy services to education and training sector clients all over Europe. They are experienced producers of online information and education materials for a wide selection of clients in both the public and private sectors including significant web developments realised in-house. They are also highly experienced in dissemination, exploitation and validation, and regularly initiate and manage communication and PR campaigns for and on behalf of organisations, projects and networks. ATiT senior staff are also experienced evaluators in the field of technology enhanced learning and have been responsible for external and internal evaluation and review of a significant number of projects and initiatives at European and national level in Belgium, France, the UK, Ireland as well as in parts of Africa including Ghana and The Gambia. ATiT was a contributing partner in relevant past projects such as eStream and VideoAktiv and now hosts the secretariat for the MEDEA Awards. They are curerntly involved in the EduTubePlus project, a European curriculum related video library and hybrid e-services for the pedagogical exploitation of video in class.

Within MEDEA:EU, ATiT is responsible for the following workpackages: Project Management (WP1), Dissemination and Promotion (WP2) and Exploitation and Sustainability (WP3).

IADT

Institiúid Ealaine, Deartha & Teicneolaiochta Dhún Laoghaire (IADT) or Dun Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology in Ireland was established on the 1st of April 1997, within the Institutes of Technology sectorin Ireland and is funded by Government through the Higher Education Authority.With a unique name and specialist focus, the IADT vision is "to be at the forefront of teaching, research and innovation at the convergence ofthe arts, technology and enterprise, and to contribute to Ireland's development as a creative knowledge economy". IADT is widely recognised for specialist expertise in media/digital media and hosts Irelands' National Film School as a key centre of excellence, providing education and training in film, animation, broadcasting and digital media. IADT has a strong reputation based on interaction and openness to collaboration with industry and commitment to teaching excellence. With 1,750 students currently enrolled on programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, IADT is a founding partner in Ireland's 'National Digital Research Centre' and in the collaborative 'Graduate School of Creative Arts and Media'. MediaCube, the IADT campus incubation centre, which focuses on media/digital media start-ups, commenced operation in April 2007 with funding from Enterprise Ireland. IADT has a dedicated centre (FÍS) which promotes creativity with multimedia/digital media tools in teaching and learning in primary and secondary education. FÍS projects include: Eurocreator, Bookclub and Digital Creator. IADT is the only Irish full member of the International Association of Film & Television Schools (CILECT) and its Groupement Europeen des Ecoles de Cinema et de Television.

UNI•C

Danmarks IT-Center for Uddannelse og Forskning (UNI•C) or The Danish Research Network, is a government agency under the Danish Ministry of Education. UNI•C is the driving force behind the technological development in education and research concentrating on IT solutions for education, research and business. It is the objective of UNI•C to be a frontline organisation striving to contribute towards the implementation of the IT policy of the Danish Ministry of Education and to continue playing a role as a frontline IT organisation for the educational and research sector. UNI•C contributes decisively towards ensuring Denmark’s position in the global information society, and has a staff of approximately 300, with offices in Copenhagen, Lyngby, Odense and Aarhus. It hosts the Danish national platform for education, www.emu.dk and DK•CERT, the Danish Computer Emergency Response Team, which monitors IT-security in Denmark, and runs the national and European programme for the professional development of teachers, EPICT - European Pedagogical ICT Licence®.
