WP 1. Project Management
The aim of the management workpackage is to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the MEDEA:EU Project making sure the project achieves its target objectives in an efficient and professional manner on time and within budget. Tasks included in this workpackage are setting up an efficient project management strategy in line with the scale of the project and available resources, an effective communication strategy for the lifetime of the project and putting in place a issue reporting mechanism within the partnership. One of the outcomes arising from this workpackage is the confidential project manual.

WP 2. Dissemination and Promotion
This workpackage is to ensure the widest possible dissemination and promotion of the MEDEA Awards to all European Members States and in particular to ensure that those engaged in cross-border European activity in this area are fully aware of and ready to participate in the MEDEA Awards in general and the European Collaboration Award 2009 and European Collaboration Award 2010 in particular. This consists of establishing a set of national contact points in all member states, translating the available competition-related information resources in French and German including the MEDEA Awards website, leaflets, posters and press releases. The partnership also actively spreads information about the awards through established and engaged networks.

WP 3. Exploitation and Sustainability
To exploit the results of the MEDEA:EU project and ensure the ongoing sustainability of the European dimension of the MEDEA Awards from 2010 onwards, the partners carry out an analysis of the costs associated with running the European Collaboration Award and the associated best practice analysis work (showcases) as described in workpackage 5.

WP 4. Evaluation and Quality Enhancement Framework
Ensuring the quality and continued putting effort in this project, the partnership will put in place an evaluation and quality enhancement framework that will be used to guide the work undertaken during the project as well as assisting the partners and their supporting organisations assess the overall success of the MEDEA Awards from a European perspective. This confidential framework includes a quality plan and success indicators and is related to the second task in this workpackage, namely carrying out an annual audit of the project, which also involves a short online survey with all participants in 2009 and 2010.

WP 5. Best Practice in European Collaboration
This last workpackage aims to identify and reward best practice in media-enhanced learning resulting from European collaboration and to identify and publish case examples of such work in an effort to highlight good practice and successful strategies. The work is composed of two related tasks: firstly, the establishment of a specific award to be presented during the MEDEA Awards 2009 and 2010 rewarding and recognising best examples of media-enhanced learning which have directly come about as a result of European Collaboration, and secondly, setting up a process whereby those submissions that are short-listed for all of the MEDEA Awards in 2008 and 2009 are investigated and analysed in order to identify best practice and which will then be promoted as case examples of how high-quality media-enhanced learning comes about. We call these case examples showcases and after the announcement of each year's finalists, they are published on the website and often include a video interview with the participant in question. Because of the high quality of entries submitted to the MEDEA Awards, the MEDEA Organising Committee decided to introduce a 'Highly Commended' category to the MEDEA Awards in recognition of the quality of a number of entries that were very particularly appreciated by the jury. The MEDEA:EU Partnership has decided to also publish these entries to appear on the MEDEA website among the showcases of the award winners and finalists.
